The HP-301 Study
Helicobacter pylori is a bacterium that, when present in the stomach, can cause inflammation in the stomach (known as gastritis), ulcers in the stomach or duodenum, and certain cancers of the stomach. Subjects may get abdominal pain (stomachache) or nausea due to acute infection. If the infection becomes chronic you may get symptoms such as stomach pains, nausea, bloating, belching, and sometimes vomiting or black stools.
The HP-301 study is a research study to determine whether and investigation drug, vonoprazan, in combination with amoxicillin alone or amoxicillin ad clarithromycin, is safe and effective in the treatment of H. pylori compared with the standard treatment.
Taking part in this study is free and voluntary to participants. Phatom Pharmaceuticals, INC., who is the sponsor of this study will reward subjects for their participation and time.
